Charles was born in OCT 1804 in St.Peters, East Oxford, Oxfordshire, the son of James Brewerton and Susanna Price.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Ann Wright, whom he married on 19 MAY 1832 in St. Olave's, London. Their five known children were John Charles (c1833-1833), Ann Wright (c1835-?), Charles (<1836-?), Elizabeth (c1839-?) and Jane (c1842-?).

His second wife was Charlotte Hooper, whom he married in AUG 1851 in Friern Barnet, Middlesex. Their five known children were John Charles (c1833-1833), Ann Wright (c1835-?), Charles (<1836-?), Elizabeth (c1839-?) and Jane (c1842-?).
