Alice was the daughter of Daniel Steeden and Elizabeth Newett. The date and place of her birth have not been found.

She died on 26 NOV 1866 in Plumstead, Essex.

Her husband was Isaac Passfield, whom she married on BEF 27 OCT 1846. The place has not been found. Their nine known children were infant 1 (?-<1866), infant 2 (?-<1866), infant 3 (?-<1866), infant 4 (?-<1866), Walter Henry (<1846-?), Isaac M.S. (c1854-<1855), Eliza Anne (c1856-<1858), Amelia (c1862->1871) and Annie Elizabeth (1865-<1866).
