His wife was Barbara Pulley, whom he married on 24 SEP 1832 in Akeley, Buckinghamshire. Their ten known children were Sarah Anne (<1833-1833), William Henry (<1834-1862), Eleanor Burleigh (1836-?), Elias (<1840->1891), Walter (1842-1851), Alfred Butler (1845-?), Laura Eliza (1847-1899), Burleigh (1850-1874), Martha Barbara (1852-1854) and Arthur Decimus (1855-<1855).
