Personal and Family Information

William was born before 27 FEB 1785 in Holborn, London, the son of John Clarke and Mary Hobbs.[Note 2]

He died on 5 JUL 1866 in Lillingstone Dayrell, Buckinghamshire.

His wife was Sarah Burleigh, whom he married on 22 JAN 1807 in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. Their twelve known children were Sarah (<1808-1847), William Burleigh (1809-<1809), William (1810-1887), Elias (1811-1870), Henry William (<1812-1837), John Burleigh (<1814-1868), George (<1816-?), Septimus (<1821-1889), Josiah Octavius (<1823-1888), Edward (<1825-1880), Eleanor Burleigh (<1829-1882) and Charles Decimus (<1830-1858).
