John was born before 25 JAN 1835 in Finmere, Oxfordshire, the son of William Clifford and Ann Tims.[Note 1]

He died in NOV 1902 in Finmere, Oxfordshire.

His wife was Mary Ann un, whom he married in BEF 1865. The place has not been found. Their three known children were George (c1865-1886), Thomas (c1866-1936) and William John (c1868-1890).
