Elizabeth was born before 4 SEP 1859 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, the daughter of Thomas Berry and Mary Butler.[Note 1]

She died on 16 MAY 1913 in London County Asylum, Dartford, Kent.[Notes 2, 3, 4]

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Robert William Butterwick, whom she married on 29 NOV 1882 in St. Stephen's, Westbourne Park, Middlesex. Their four known children were Reginald Robert (<1884-1936), Ernest (c1885-?), Florence (c1886-?) and Dora Guelph (c1887-?).

Her second husband was John Desland, whom she married in ABT 1890. The place has not been found. Their six known children were Reginald Robert (<1884-1936), Ernest (c1885-?), Florence (c1886-?), Dora Guelph (c1887-?), Herbert John (c1892-?) and Arthur John (c1896-?).
