Matilda was born about 1841 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, the daughter of unknown parents.

She died after 1881. The place is not known.

Her husband was Benjamin Rose, whom she married in BEF 1870. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Mary E. (c1867->1881) and Benjamin (c1870->1881).
