Edward was born before 18 SEP 1825 in Lillingstone Dayrell, Buckinghamshire, the son of William Clarke and Sarah Burleigh.[Note 1]

He died on 20 FEB 1880 in Buckingham registration district, Buckinghamshire.[Notes 2, 3]

His wife was Mary Cross, whom he married in ABT MAY 1863 in Buckingham registration district, Buckinghamshire. Their three known children were Charles Edward (c1866-?), Amy Elizabeth (c1868-?) and Kate (c1870-?).
