His wife was Martha Jackman, whom he married on 26 APR 1813 in Loughton, Buckinghamshire. Their eleven known children were Elizabeth (<1813-?), George (c1815-?), Edward (<1817-?), Mary (<1818-?), Henry (c1819-?), Mary Anne (<1821-?), Sarah (<1829-?), Thomas (<1829-?), Martha (<1829-?), Joseph (<1829-?) and Caroline (c1831-?).
