Emma was born about 1819 in Finmere, Oxfordshire, the daughter of unknown parents.

She died on 31 OCT 1878 in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire.[Note 1]

Her husband was Thomas Wrighton, whom she married in ABT FEB 1841 in Brackley registration district, Northamptonshire. Their nine known children were Sarah Anne (c1842-?), James (<1843-c1922), Emma (c1847-?), Mary Jane (c1850-?), Louisa Temperance (c1853-?), Thomas Henry (c1855-c1933), Rosa Elizabeth (c1857-?), Alfred Edward (c1859-?) and Agnes Emma (c1861-?).
