His wife was Alice Ann Greenwood, whom he married in ABT AUG 1895 in Droylsden St. Mary, Lancashire. Their six known children were Fred (c1896-1918), Ethel (c1900-?), Harry (>1901-<1911), Arthur (>1901-<1915), Arnold (c1903-?) and Annie (1912-?).
