Elizabeth was born on 14 APR 1839 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, the daughter of James Holton and Maria Beal.[Notes 2, 3]

She died about AUG 1917 in Buckingham registration district, Buckinghamshire.[Notes 4, 5, 6]

She had three marriages/partners. Her first husband is not known. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Joseph Innes? (c1857-1858).

Her second husband is not known. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Eliza Ann (c1867-c1871).

Her third husband was William Linford, whom she married on 16 OCT 1876 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their twelve known children were Thomas (<1860-c1947), William George (<1862-1879), John (<1863-c1949), George (<1868-1894), Emily Maria (<1870-c1942), Ann (<1871-?), James Thomas (c1872-1934), Joseph (<1874-c1937), Daniel (c1875-1918), Caroline (<1876-c1960), Esther (c1878-c1956) and Elizabeth (<1884-c1964).

DEATH: HOLTON, JAMES

James holton, Sr., died March 18, at the family home in Jobs Corners, after a long illness, aged 86 years and 9 months. He was the son of James Holton and Maria Bales Holton, of Tingewick, England, now deceased. He came to this country at the age of twenty years and settled near Jobs Corners, where he spent practically all his life. In 1856 he married Mary Ann Croomb and to them were born nine children, all of whom survive-Joseph, of Jobs Corners; Willard, of North Spencer NY.; Eugene, of Jackson Summitt; Alfred, of Millerton; Emerson of Rutland; Newman, of Jobs Corners; Mrs. Emma Wright and Benjamin, both of Rutland, and Mrs. Cora Corey of Jobs Corners. After May Ann's death he married Abbie E. Benson, who survives, also one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Linford, of Tingewick, England. The funeral was held at Jobs Corners Wednesday, Rev. Seymour Barret, of Tioga, officiating; burial in the Jobs Corners cemetery.
