Charles was born about 1821 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, the son of James Berry and Susannah.

He died in 1882. The place is not known.[Note 1]

His wife was Sarah, whom he married in BEF 1845. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Elizabeth (c1845->1851).
