Mary was born in 1801 in Stoke Lyne, Northamptonshire, the daughter of unknown parents.[Note 1]

Her husband was Thomas Cadd, whom she married on 21 DEC 1820 in Stoke Lyne, Oxfordshire. Their five known children were Eliza (<1821-?), Emma (<1824-?), Harriet (c1826-?), Edmund (<1833-?) and Henry (<1839-?).
