William was born about 1854 in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, the son of Thomas Cleaver and Caroline Whybrow.

He died in 1922. The place is not known.

His wife was Emily Bracy. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Albert (1891-?).

The gravestone of William (d. 1922) and Emily (d. 1924) Cleaver is still standing and readable at Stanbridge Parish Church. Stanbridge is a small village about three miles from Leighton Buzzard.
