Thomas was born about AUG 1876 in Southampton registration district, the son of Thomas Francis Branigan and Mary Ann Sheppard.[Notes 1, 2]

He died about MAY 1963 in Birmingham registration district, Warwickshire.

His wife was Eliza Greenhill, whom he married on 14 NOV 1897 in St. Marys Church, Aston Brook, Warwickshire. Their seven known children were Alfred (c1889-<1890), Alfred C (c1890-?), Amy (c1892-?), Elsie Minnie (1899-?), Lily (1901-?), Doris (1905-?) and Frank (1907-?).
