Elizabeth was born about AUG 1874 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, the daughter of Edward Chexfield and Elizabeth Sharman.[Notes 1, 2]

Her husband was Miles Leighton, whom she married in ABT NOV 1890 in Potterspury registration district, Buckinghamshire. Their three known children were Joseph B. (c1891-?), Jane E. (c1893-?) and Elizabeth M. (c1900-?).
