Elizabeth was born on 16 SEP 1834 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, the daughter of George Burnall and Ann Gibbard.[Note 1]

Her husband was Jesse Lucas, whom she married on 11 DEC 1855 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their eleven known children were George James (c1856-c1856), Jesse (<1857-?), George Burnell (<1859-<1860), James (c1860-?), George Burnell (<1862-?), Ann (c1864-?), Fanny Jane (c1867-?), Arthur (c1868-?), Elizabeth (<1870-c1905), David (<1874-?) and Harry (1877-?).
