Mary was born about 1818 in Edgcott, Buckinghamshire, the daughter of Joseph Butler but her mother is unknown.

She died on 10 JUL 1875. The place is not known.[Notes 1, 2]

Her husband was Thomas Berry, whom she married on 20 NOV 1845 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their seven known children were Joseph Butler (<1847-?), John (<1849-1874), William (1850-?), Charlotte Ann (<1853-?), Emily (<1857-?), Elizabeth Mary (<1859-1913) and Charles (c1862-?).
