George was born on 1 AUG 1839 in Finmere, Oxfordshire, the son of William Clifford and Ann Tims.[Note 1]

He died on 3 MAR 1916 in Finmere, Oxfordshire.[Note 2]

His wife was Emma Lucas, whom he married on 9 NOV 1863 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their four known children were Mary Ann (c1865-?), Phoebe Louisa (<1874-?), Frederick Alfred (<1876-?) and Catherine Emily (c1879-?).
