Personal and Family Information

Thomas was born about AUG 1849 in Akeley, Buckinghamshire, the son of James Blackwell and Ann un.[Notes 1, 2]

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife is not known. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Edith Ellen (c1884-?).

His second wife was Elizabeth Jane Hollyoake, whom he married in ABT AUG 1875 in Buckingham registration district, Buckinghamshire. Their ten known children were William (c1876-?), [Eleanor] Clara (c1877-?), Arthur John (c1879-?), Elizabeth Ann (1881-?), Thomas (c1883-?), George (c1886-?), Frederick Thomas (c1888-?), Rose (c1890-c1893), Clothilda Elsie (c1892-?) and Florrie (c1894-?).
