Laura was born about AUG 1886 in Brackley registration district, Northamptonshire, the daughter of Charles Edward Stowe but her mother is unknown.[Notes 1, 2]

Her husband was Leonard Reuben Steeden, whom she married on 26 DEC 1908 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their two known children were Doris Lily (c1909-?) and Irene Elizabeth Mary (c1910-?).
