Herbert was born before 25 MAY 1890 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, the son of Henry Felix Baker but his mother is unknown.[Note 1]

He died on 26 MAR 1917 in Palestine or Egypt.

His wife was Mabel Louisa Smith, whom he married in ABT AUG 1912 in Brentford registration district. Their only known child was Elsie Eleanor Mabel (c1914-?).
