Note 8

First, the 1841 census for Finmere shows William and Catherine Clifford living very close to Thomas Clifford, b. 1799 out-of-county, and his 2nd wife Ann. (This Ann is also an Ann Tapping, whose father is shown to be John Tapping in the 1851 census). This Thomas matches up perfectly with the Thomas bapt. to George and Mary (Poole) Clifford in Tingewick in March 1799.
