Charles was born before 21 JUN 1764, the son of Thomas Cross and Mary. The place is not known.[Note 2]

He died in 1815. The place is not known.[Note 3]

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Elizabeth Glover, whom he married on 2 SEP 1789 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their two known children were Elizabeth (<1789-<1789) and Thomas (<1790-1791).

His second wife was Mary Hannah Moss, whom he married on 10 OCT 1808 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their four known children were Thomas (1810-?), Charles (c1811-<1881), Mary Anne (c1812-1890) and Sarah (<1815-1828).

There is obviously a big mistake here: I no longer have the source for the monumental inscriptions of Tingewick Churchyard but obviously Charles can't have died in 1813 if his daughter Mary Anne was born in 1815: and it is unlikely that Hannah, her mother, would have been 66 at her birth!!
