Coincidences

— there was a John Hayward born in 1838 in Tingewick who was a gardener in 1861; his parents were Thomas and Amelia … Thomas was a brewer in Tingewick in 1851 when Edward Sheppard’s brother John was landlord of the Royal Oak in Buckingham

—— there is a possible marriage at St. Pancras on 15 June 1829 of John Hayward and Elizabeth Shephard - both widowed

—— John Sheppard of the Royal Oak had a daughter Elizabeth born 1838 BUT this Eliza is NOT her - she is recorded with parents in Buckingham

===============================

further speculation:

Ann Hayward age 22 is John Hayward’s daughter by first wife

Mary Ann Sheppard is Elizabeth’s daughter by her first husband; Eliza is Mary Ann’s illegitimate daughter
