Mary was born about 1812 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, the daughter of Charles Cross and Mary Hannah Moss.

She died in 1890. The place is not known.[Note 1]

Her husband was Edward Wheeler, whom she married on 8 AUG 1842 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their two known children were Elizabeth (<1845->1851) and Charles Cross (<1849->1851).

According to one family historian, the tombstone of Edward (1818-1909) and Mary (Cross) (1811-1890) Wheeler contained the following epitaph:
