He died about AUG 1949 in North Buckinghamshire registration district.^{[Notes 2, 3]}

His wife was Sarah Ann Savin, whom he married on 10 NOV 1884 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their seven known children were William Thomas (<1885-?), Ada Mary (<1888-?), Harry (<1890-?), Frederick John (<1893-1895), Rose Louisa (<1897-?), John (c1902-?) and Arthur (c1905-?).
