His wife was Ida Poole, whom he married on 18 NOV 1900 in Tingewick, Buckinghamshire. Their six known children were Wilfred George (c1901-?), John Edward (c1902-?), Edith Annie (c1904-?), Joseph (c1906-?), Gertrude (c1907-?) and Lilian Mary (c1909-?).
