Sarah was born in 1821 in Paulerspury, Northamptonshire, the daughter of unknown parents.

She died in 1890 in Superior, Douglas, Wisconsin, U.S.A..

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was John Holton, whom she married on 22 MAY 1843 in Paulerspury, Northamptonshire. Their twelve known children were Elizabeth (<1843-<1864), Roseanne (1845-1907), George (<1845-<1853), Thomas (<1849-<1853), Jane (1850-1850), Henry (1850-1850), Henry (1851-<1853), John (<1854-1854), Sarah (1855-1918), John (1856-1916), Henry (<1860-<1863) and Hannah (1862-1898).

Her second husband was Samuel Roddis, whom she married in BEF 1881. The place has not been found. They had no known children.

there are no records of the cemetery. It was after her son homesteaded at

Borea.

!Name generally given as "Ratlidge" in church records. Family said it was Rutledge.
